1.1. By accessing, browsing or using the Euro Duty platform (hereinafter referred to as 'Platform'), the user (hereinafter referred to as 'User') declares that they have read, understood and accepted, fully and without reservation, these Terms and Conditions of Use.

1.2. Use of the Platform implies automatic acceptance of these Terms, as well as the Privacy Policy and any legal notices published.

1.3. If the User does not agree with any provision of these Terms, they should refrain from using the Platform and its services.

1.4. Euro Duty reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time, with changes effective from the date of their publication on the Platform.

2.1. The Euro Duty Platform is an independent digital tool of an informative and educational nature, developed based on the rules and legislation of the European Union.

2.2. Euro Duty is not a government entity, nor is it affiliated with any official institution of the European Union or its Member States.

2.3. For questions, suggestions or complaints, Users can get in touch through the channels provided on the Platform.

3.1. Euro Duty provides a set of digital tools, including but not limited to:

• Tax simulators for the 27 countries of the European Union;

• Salary calculators and withholding tax calculators;

• Comparators of tax regimes between countries;

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assistant for clarifying labor questions;

• Legal document templates (resignation letters, requests, etc.);

• Information on labor rights, subsidies and social benefits;

• Rankings and comparative analyses of European tax burden.

3.2. All services are provided exclusively for informational and educational purposes, not constituting the provision of professional legal, tax, accounting or financial consulting services.

4.1. The Platform integrates an AI Assistant (based on Assistant IA technology) to answer questions about European labor legislation.

4.2. The responses provided by the AI Assistant are automatically generated based on language models and publicly available sources.

4.3. The AI Assistant does not replace the advice of qualified professionals (lawyers, accountants, tax consultants).

4.4. Euro Duty does not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of the AI Assistant's responses, which may contain errors, omissions or outdated information.

4.5. The User acknowledges and accepts that they use the AI Assistant at their own risk, and cannot hold Euro Duty responsible for any decisions made based on the responses obtained.

5.1. IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE: The information provided on the Euro Duty Platform is of a purely informative and educational nature.

5.2. Euro Duty does NOT provide legal, tax, financial or accounting advice. The calculations, simulations and information presented are approximations based on public data and should not be used as the sole basis for financial or labor decisions.

5.3. Although we make efforts to keep the information up to date and accurate, we DO NOT GUARANTEE the accuracy, integrity, timeliness or suitability of the content for specific situations.

5.4. Euro Duty is not responsible for:

• Errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the information presented;

• Decisions made by the User based on the Platform's content;

• Financial losses, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages;

• Temporary or permanent unavailability of services;

• Legislative changes not immediately reflected on the Platform.

5.5. WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND consulting qualified professionals (lawyers, accountants, tax consultants) and/or the competent official entities before making any labor, tax or financial decision.

6.1. All content on the Platform, including but not limited to texts, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio and video files, databases, software and source code, are the exclusive property of Euro Duty or its respective licensors.

6.2. The User is not authorized to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, transmit, display, publish, license, create derivative works, transfer or sell any content from the Platform without prior written authorization.

6.3. The 'Euro Duty' brand, logo and all distinctive graphic elements are protected by industrial property rights.

6.4. The calculations, algorithms and methodologies used in the simulators are the intellectual property of Euro Duty.

7.1. The User undertakes to use the Platform lawfully, ethically and in accordance with applicable law.

7.2. The following is expressly prohibited:

• Using the Platform for illegal, fraudulent or unauthorized purposes;

• Attempting to access restricted areas or unauthorized systems;

• Introducing viruses, malware or any malicious code;

• Interfering with the normal functioning of the Platform;

• Extracting data in an automated manner (scraping) without authorization;

• Reproducing or redistributing Platform content for commercial purposes;

• Using the services to harm third parties or Euro Duty itself.

7.3. The User is responsible for the accuracy of the information they enter into the simulators and calculators.

8.1. The processing of personal data by Euro Duty is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) - Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

8.2. For detailed information on the collection, processing and protection of your personal data, please consult our Privacy Policy.

8.3. Use of the Platform may involve the collection of technical data (IP address, device type, browser) for statistical purposes and service improvement.

8.4. Data entered into the simulators is processed locally and is not permanently stored on our servers, unless expressly indicated otherwise.

9.1. The basic services of the Euro Duty Platform are provided free of charge.

9.2. Euro Duty reserves the right to introduce premium features or paid subscriptions in the future, with prior notice to Users.

9.3. Any changes to the access model will not retroactively affect uses prior to the date of the change.

10.1. Euro Duty strives to ensure the continuous availability of the Platform, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

10.2. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled or emergency maintenance;

• Software or content updates;

• Technical or infrastructure problems;

• Force majeure.

10.3. Euro Duty will not be liable for any losses or damages resulting from interruptions in services.

11.1. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Euro Duty excludes all liability for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

11.2. Under no circumstances shall Euro Duty's total liability exceed the amount eventually paid by the User for the Platform's services.

11.3. The liability limitations provided for in these Terms apply regardless of the legal theory invoked (contractual, non-contractual, strict liability or otherwise).

12.1. Euro Duty reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time, without prior notice.

12.2. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on the Platform.

12.3. The date of the last update will always be indicated at the top of this page.

12.4. Continued use of the Platform after the publication of changes constitutes tacit acceptance of the new Terms.

13.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by European Union legislation and, subsidiarily, by Portuguese law.

13.2. For resolution of any disputes arising from the use of the Platform, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts, with express waiver of any other.

13.3. Without prejudice to the provisions of the previous paragraph, consumer Users may resort to alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available in their country of residence.

14.1. The Euro Duty Platform was developed in compliance with the following European directives and regulations:

• Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) - Personal Data Protection;

• Directive 2000/31/EC - Electronic Commerce;

• Directive 2011/83/EU - Consumer Rights;

• Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA) - Digital Services.

14.2. Information on labor legislation covers the 27 Member States of the European Union, based on official sources and updated periodically.

15.1. The Euro Duty Platform is primarily intended for users residing in the European Union and the European Economic Area.

15.2. The content and simulators reflect the legislation and practices of the 27 EU Member States.

15.3. Use of the Platform from third countries is permitted, but Euro Duty does not guarantee the suitability of the content for jurisdictions outside the EU.

16.1. For questions related to these Terms and Conditions, Users can contact us through the channels provided on the Platform.

16.2. Any complaints will be analyzed and responded to within a maximum of 30 business days.

16.3. Users have the right to file a complaint with the competent data protection authorities in case of violation of their rights.
